Different competition different format follow করে। Speaker role, time, rules and judging expectation না বুঝলে strong argument দিয়েও score কমে।
Format জানলে speaker role clear হয়

British Parliamentary Debate
Four teams, two sides, eight speakers. BP rewards role fulfillment, extension, clash and weighing.
Roles

Timing
Usually 7 minutes per speech
Basic Rules
• Each speaker has limited time
• New extension required in closing half
• POI may be allowed depending on tournament rule

Asian Parliamentary Debate
Two teams: Government and Opposition. Three speakers per side with reply speeches.

Timing
Main speeches 7 minutes, reply speeches usually 4 minutes
Basic Rules
• Team case must be consistent
• Whip speech should summarize clash
• Reply speech should not introduce new matter
Tip: AP is excellent for training team coordination and clash summary.
Traditional Bangla Debate
Campus-friendly format where speakers present structured arguments in Bangla with clear delivery.

Timing
Usually 3-5 minutes per speaker
Basic Rules
• ভাষা পরিষ্কার হতে হবে
• সময় মেনে বক্তব্য শেষ করতে হবে

• Topic থেকে দূরে যাওয়া যাবে না
